Terms of service

The terms this service is provided on

AnswerFit is a measurement service in private beta. These terms explain what it does, what it deliberately does not promise, and the conditions of using it.

Last updated 28 August 2026

Who provides it

Who you are agreeing with

AnswerFit is operated by Anphase Limited, a company registered in New Zealand and based in Auckland. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Anphase Limited, and "you" means the organisation or person using the service. Contact details are on the Anphase website.

Using AnswerFit, or asking us to measure a website on your behalf, means you accept these terms.

What it is

What the service actually does

AnswerFit asks AI models questions about an organisation, records their answers, and measures how those answers compare against what the organisation genuinely offers. It reports where the organisation is absent from answers it should appear in, where it is described inaccurately, and where a change might close that gap.

The measurement describes the behaviour of third-party AI models at the time the questions were asked. Those models change without notice, are updated on schedules we do not control, and can give different answers to the same question. A result is a point-in-time observation rather than a stable property of your organisation.

Private beta

The service is experimental

AnswerFit is available only as a private beta at this stage. Features, methods, scoring and report formats can change, and access may be limited, paused or withdrawn. Reports are labelled experimental because the underlying methodology is still being validated, and that label is accurate rather than cautious boilerplate.

You should treat the output as one input to a decision, alongside your own judgement and other evidence. It is not advice, and it is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind.

Entitlement

Whose website you may ask us to measure

You may ask us to measure a website only where you own it, operate it, or are otherwise authorised by the organisation it belongs to. You are responsible for confirming that before making the request.

We may decline or stop any measurement at our discretion, including where entitlement is unclear or where a request appears intended to profile a third party rather than the requester.

Access

What we access, and what we never ask for

AnswerFit reads publicly available pages using an identified crawler. It does not require access to your systems, and it does not modify the site being measured in any way. Requests are limited to public internet addresses, and pages behind a login are outside what the service reads.

We do not ask for and will not accept passwords, API keys, analytics logins, or any other credential to your systems. If you send us one, we will ask you to revoke it.

Third-party models

Questions are sent to model providers

Producing a measurement means sending questions, and sometimes publicly available text from the site being measured, to third-party AI providers. Those providers process that content under their own terms, and the current list is published on the subprocessors page.

Because that step is unavoidable, do not send us anything confidential that you would not want processed by those providers. The privacy policy sets out how information is handled.

What we do not promise

The limits, stated plainly

We do not promise that a measurement will improve how AI models describe or recommend your organisation. Model behaviour depends on training data, retrieval systems and provider decisions that neither you nor we control, and a change that improves one model may not move another.

Nor is there any promise of particular scores, rankings, placement in answers, commercial results, or that any recommendation will have the effect suggested. Where the method cannot support a conclusion, the report says so, and those statements of uncertainty are part of the result rather than a disclaimer attached to it.

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those apply to you, and where you acquire the service for business purposes those Acts are contracted out of to the extent permitted.

Your material

Ownership of what you provide and what we produce

You keep ownership of the material you give us and of your website. You grant us permission to use it for the purpose of producing and supporting your measurement.

We keep ownership of AnswerFit itself, including the method, the software and the report formats. You may use the reports we produce for you inside your organisation and share them with your advisers. Please do not publish a report as though it were an independent audit, because a measurement produced for one subject is not that.

The raw answers and run metadata behind a report are retained so that a result can be checked later. Anonymised, aggregated findings may be used to improve the method, and we will not identify you in anything published without your agreement.

Acceptable use

How the service may be used

The service may not be used to attack, overload, or gain unauthorised access to any system, and it may not be used to profile individuals. Reselling it, reverse engineering it, or presenting its output as the work of someone else are all outside what these terms allow.

It also may not be used to manufacture misleading claims about an organisation, including your own. The method exists to find where perception and reality differ, and turning it toward widening that gap defeats the point of running it at all.

Fees

Charges during the beta

Access during the private beta is arranged individually and any fees are agreed in writing before work begins. Where no fee is agreed, no charge applies. We will tell you before starting work that would incur a cost.

Ending

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached, where continuing would create a legal or security risk, or where the beta itself ends.

After access ends we will keep run records for as long as the privacy policy states, so that reports already delivered remain checkable.

Liability

Limits on what we are responsible for

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, or loss arising from decisions taken on the basis of a measurement. Our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred New Zealand dollars where no fees were paid.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

How these terms change

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always on this page with the date it took effect, and continuing to use the service after a change means accepting the updated terms. Where a change materially reduces your rights we will tell you directly if we hold your contact details.

Law

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before starting a formal process, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

Questions about these terms can be sent through the Anphase website.
